We are blessed with a huge, mature, garden, the starting point for all sorts of adventures; maybe a tea party in the mud kitchen, an expedition to find dinosaurs in the jungle or a quest to find pirate treasure in the tree house.

The children are immersed in the changing seasons, helping to plant seeds, then later harvesting and eating the fruit and vegetables they helped to grow.

The children take part in Forest School sessions, learning how to safely light the fire and cook on it, often using produce from the garden.

“Children at the school benefit considerably from special experiences such as gardening and ‘forest school’ activities. They develop a love of being outdoors, growing fruit and vegetables and exploring nature.” Ofsted 2016
