Tam, our Head Teacher, travelled to London on 11th March and joined Head Teachers and staff from hundreds of other Maintained Nursery Schools from all over the country, in attending a lobby of MPs and a march on Downing Street to raise support for funding beyond 2020. Our children made a beautiful banner for Tam to carry. Our local Liverpool MP, Louise Ellman, is very supportive and met Tam to find out more about how she can support our school.

All the schools then marched to Downing Street, carrying our banners, and presented a letter to Phillip Hammond, the chancellor, calling on funding to be confirmed beyond 2020. You can read more about the issues facing Maintained Nursery Schools here:
