Many of our families are Muslim and so we all learned about how important Ramadan is and how the month of fasting is observed. At the end of Ramadan, Muslim families have an amazing celebration called Eid al-Fitr, where they wear gorgeous clothes, have parties with friends and families and eat special delicious food! We had our own Eid party in Abercromby, decorated our hands and faces, played games and ate some wonderful treats – thank you so much to our families for bringing these in to share. We learned that if you want to wish someone a blessed Ramadan you say “Ramadan Kareem” and if you want to wish someone a happy Eid you say “Eid Mubarak!”
