Oak Tree children visited Liverpool Anglican Cathedral as part of our learning about Easter and what Christians celebrate. We walked down with some of our mums and dads helping us and when we saw how enormous the cathedral was, we were amazed. When we got inside we were awed by the space inside and explored how our voices echoed around. The cathedral helpers showed us around and we had to find lots of faces in the stained glass windows, carvings and statues. We found lots of animals such as a mouse, a snail, monkeys, a work, eagles and a lizard. We also identified Jesus as a baby and as a man. We then got to make some of these faces in clay. We loved our visit and it gave us lots to talk about. Thank you to Liverpool Anglican Cathedral for being so welcoming and the mums and dads who came for your help!
