This year, our day out was at Walton Hall Gardens near Warrington. We got on the coaches with our families and it was so much fun sitting so high up and seeing lots of interesting things, including going over the Mersey Gateway bridge.
When we arrived, we all went straight to the amazing playground! There were so many things to explore and try out. It was great fun challenging ourselves and practising new skills. We also went around the children’s zoo and met lots of animals. It was so funny when the man who looks after the animals filled a paddling pool for the Alpacas. They did enjoy getting in and cooling down! We met red squirrels, ferrets, donkeys, goats, chickens, pot bellied pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs and lots of different birds.
We enjoyed our picnic together on the grass and finished our day with a yummy ice cream!
When it was time to go home, nobody wanted to leave, including the grown ups!
