Following our accreditation visit on 2nd July, we are delighted to announce that Abercromby Nursery School has been awarded the Bronze Attachment and Trauma Sensitive Schools Award.
This achievement recognises our commitment to creating a nurturing, inclusive and trauma-informed environment where every child feels safe, valued and supported to thrive.
During the accreditation process, the assessor spoke very highly of the provision across our school, highlighting the dedication of our staff team in embedding attachment-aware and trauma-sensitive practice throughout all aspects of school life. Particular praise was given to the strong relationships we build with children and families, our nurturing ethos, and the positive impact of our approaches on children’s wellbeing and development.
We are incredibly proud of this achievement and would like to thank our staff, children, families and partners who contribute to making our school such a supportive and caring community.
We were especially pleased to receive such positive feedback and are excited to have been encouraged to begin working towards the Silver Attachment and Trauma Sensitive Schools Award.
